The committee have met and decided that we will re-start our Sunday Run programme with Mill Point Road on 5th July.
The programme to 30th September is on the website. It is the same as that published earlier in the year except that a) Sharks is replaced with Weir Run due to East Fremantle path works, b) Racecourse will start at Burswood not the Marathon Club and c) as there is not City to Surf we will have our Thornlie run that day.
For the first few weeks there will be no visitors allowed. However note that a $30 membership to 30th September is available to anyone over 30.
Also for the first few weeks we will revert to manual recording to avoid multiple handling of finish tokens. Don’t forget to wear your club number.
Please keep social distancing in the pre-run period, including during announcements. When instructed by Race Director move quickly to the start line for an immediate start.
Water stations will be provided as required. Helpers will not hand out cups – please take from the table.
At this stage we will not do morning teas. In fact Margaret Bennett, who has done teas for a number of years, is retiring from that role. If any member can take over from her, please let a committee member know.
We have just re-opened our membership with a special $30 rate giving membership through until 30th September. The form can be accessed from the right sidebar.

Winter Track Programme

It is planned to start winter throws, weight and shot only, later in July. Watch the website for details.
Update to ECAC conditions of use
We have just been advised that the changing rooms and showers will now be available for use at our Thursday meetings and Monday training sessions.
RESTART THURSDAY EVENING TRACK MEETS AT ECAC
We will restart our weekly track meets on June 11th at 6pm
A Covid 19 plan has been submitted to Canning Council and this requires that:
– We stay 1.5m apart at all times, except when overtaking another athlete on the track
– One person will fill in all sign-in details to avoid multiple handling of pens and paper
– Fees will be put into the box as usual – try and bring exact amount
– Hand sanitiser will be placed on the table at the finish line – use before and after handling anything, eg stop watches, big clock, bell
– 100m and 60m will use every other lane
– No doubling up on lanes in 800m
– Mass starts will use rows as required to maintain 1.5m. Faster runners on front row
The first meeting on 11th will have some ad hoc races to trial our Covid plan. A programme will be produced starting on June 18th.
