First Aid Register

The Club is updating its Register of members who have current First Aid/Nursing/Medical training who are available to offer assistance, if required, at Sunday runs and Tuesday and Thursday competition. The Register will be included in the Race Directors’ packs. If you have any of this training and would like to be put on the Register, please contact Val Millard, secretary, email mawasecretary@gmail.com or phone 6468 7720. You can talk to Val at a Sunday run or on Thursdays for more information.
Wanted – Clothing Manager

MAWA is looking for a person to take over the job of Clothing Manager. After a number of years making us look good in our uniform, Pat Hopkins has decided it’s time to hand over to someone else. Many thanks go to Pat for her generous contribution in time and effort.
The Club relies on its volunteers for its smooth running, and the Clothing Manager is one of the more important jobs. If you’d like to do this job, you can contact Val Millard, Secretary, email mawasecretary@gmail.com, phone 6468 7720 or talk to Pat or Val at a Sunday run for more information.
Changes to website

Some changes have been made to the webite to improve functionality and make it easier for us to post results and news items. A search function has been added, while buttons on the home page make it easier to write to the committee, and to access the MAWA facebook page. There is the addition of a feed from the AMA site, however the basic structure of the site is unchanged.

The 8th Pan Pacific Masters Games is to be held on the Gold Coast in November. Entries for Athletics close on the Friday 5th October (no late entries will be accepted).
